2. Intro

a) You can easily edit the KWS-KEYS.TXT and the KWS-URLS.TXT from the links on the top left of the program. These TEXT files are kept in the DATA folder.

b) You have direct access to the RESULTS FOLDER so you can see past results which are stored by date and time. Eg: 2003-11-1-174530.htm (NOV 1 2003 @ 5:45.30 PM

c) We have also allowed plenty of width so that you can see the full path to your folders or text files clearly. (If you decide to change the path)

d) On the right there are 2 OPEN images. The current files are the DEFAULT text files. You can change them as you wish before using the program and select other Keyword or URL text files as you need them.

e) The ANALYZE THIS button is what you click to start the program.

f) We have put the EXIT button in the bottom left. (Way out of accident range)

3. PROGRAM IS RUNNING

Once the program is running, several things happen.

a) The text color fades so that the keywords and urls cannot be edited while the program is "live".

b) The Analyse This button also fades so it cannot be pushed twice by accident.

c) We have set a double counter for you (1) is a number counter next to the word URL: and (2) the actual web page is displayed so you can see the progress in Real Time.

d) Under this you will see a Yellow colored bar moving across the page. To the right of this bar you will notice a number. This is the number of URL's you have listed in the KWS-URLS.TXT file.
 

4. Finished

Once the program has finished running, you will see this popup box. Click the OK button and you can see the HTML page with your results listed. You can also open the RESULTS FOLDER and click the last entry if you accidently close the web page or popup box. Your last entry is saved for you.

 
PLEASE NOTE: The following images shows 100 search returns on Google and is VALID on the day it was searched.
Another very good use for Keyword Spy is to analyze the Google RETURNED RESULTS page and also the CACHED page in search results so you can see if the pages is cloaked or not.
